What a great restaurant! From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed and taken care of. I haven't encountered a long wait time there. Yet, it is always busy. Their food is delicious. Horrible experience. I have been eating there for years but tonight was the worst experience ever. I usually don't write a review but the manager in charge on 3/19/22 at night really did not make things better. First off the service was slow, we ordered 4 branzino which came cold and not as good as usual. The bought the salad dressings when. We were almost done with the food. Even then I was not upset, since I go there a lot, I thought well things can't always be perfect. What made me upset is that the were TWO cockroaches right on the floor by our table looking at us half dead. When I called the manager he said that since we were eating outdoor, that was not their fault and even asked me if i never saw cockroaches at home. He refused to take responsibility nor provided any type of service recovery. You see this to me is unacceptable.
In all honesty I didn't have high hopes for this place when my friends suggested this place. The Yelp reviews aren't great; when they tell us they have gnocchi not on the menu we asked if they can prepare it with brown butter and sage, the waitress had no clue what brown butter is. However, the dishes we ordered turn out quite delicious, and the staff was friendly enough.The meatless pasta is about 15 each, but the more expensive entrees can go over 30. Is it a great value? Not exactly. Can I get better pasta elsewhere? Most certainly. If you are in the mall and don't want to go elsewhere for dinner, this is not a bad option, but I won't make it a destination, especially considering the difficult parking situation: the closest parking spots are all designated for valet or premium self parking.
