However, others were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and friendly staff. While some dishes were disappointing, such as a soggy margherita pizza and underwhelming macaroni cheese, others, like the rib-eye steak and swordfish, were praised for their excellent flavor. The extensive menu and outdoor seating were also highlights. Overall, despite the high prices and occasional service issues, Lytton's Brasserie may be worth a visit for those staying at the hotel.
Could not complain about the food. Just the service was rubbish very slow. We ordered one desert and coffees. The desert came and had to Wait over half an hour for the coffees. We had to call the waiter or waitresses over for service....There was plenty of staff. We could understand if the restaurant but it wasn’t there was only other people.
After reading a few reviews, I was a little wary about staying at this restaurant. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff and food were excellent. While it may be a bit more expensive than the local options, the quality was on par with similar establishments I have visited. The staff were friendly and the food was freshly prepared. I enjoyed a delicious fish pie for dinner and a full breakfast the next morning. Despite a small issue with the breakfast service, the staff were accommodating and friendly. I would definitely consider returning in the future.
Typically, the food at transit hotels is not great, but this was not the case here. The rib eye steak was excellent, especially with the peppercorn sauce, and it paired well with a nice bottle of merlot.
Ate here as staying pre holiday. What a disappointment, really hated parting with my hard earned cash for such awful food. Very slow service. No yolk in egg with asparagus, barely any mozzarella on caprese, couldn't taste any wine in the modules marinere. Luckily two...of us chose starters for mains too as very expensive food, equally average and the margarita for was a soggy cooked from frozen let down. Honestly, this place can only survive because people happen to eat here while staying for one night, I cannot imagine they get any return customers. The staff were all friendly and I cannot fault them, shame the food they have to serve is so rank. I won't ever come here again which is a shame as the hotel is very good.
We always stay here before we fly out on holiday as the car park and stay package is good value. Lytton bar is expensive. for a glass of wine and nearly for a bottle of goose iPa. Food is good and menu is...varied and we were served quickly. Portions were good but again a little overpriced. Fish and chips where I buy it for at our local pub.......!!!! Nice relaxed atmosphere however and nice to chill out.
