I have always gotten heavy healthy great tasting crabs from here. Service is good. some of the local customers along with the tiny parking lot can make the pick up a nuisance, View all feedback.
What EIleen Freter doesn't like about Capt. Jim's Crabs:
Was told crabs were very heavy. Some were a bit better than average but some were light. We ordered large and x-large...there was no difference in size from point to point. I could post pictures but that's just more work for me. I had ordered jumbos but they ran out...probably weren't any larger so grateful they sold out.If you're ordering X- large SAVE yourself $35.00 and just order large since they are the same.Cus... Saturday, bought a dozen big crabs to steam me. Crabs were clean, pure white soil, full of meat. Great friendly service. We're buying another way.
We have 3 dozen big males and the only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because they were a little on the smaller side, but the seasoning was great and they were full. I can't remember the last time I stopped eating crabs because I was full!!! Certainly recommend these people
I have been getting my crabs here from Captain Jim?s for at least 5 years and never been disappointed. Staff great and very friendly. Now if I want oysters, mussels and scallops, I have to go to their location on Philadelphia Rd. Witch I don?t mind. They are the best around and large sizes, they are about 10 to 15 minutes from our house. Would not go anywhere else, very satisfied.
Bought a bushel of small live crabs for a labor day party. Let me say this, NOT ONE SINGLE COMPLAINT from anyone at the party. Had an 8 crab dead loss,, perfectly acceptable for me, as I picked them up at 11:30, first batch steamed at approx 1:00, second batch at 4:00. 8 dead crabs are no big deal on a bushel, considering I kept them in the box, with a moistened blanket and a bag of ice on top. VERY happy with the crabs, and price. Saved $100 on the bushel by getting the smalls vs the medium. Will buy again!! THANK YOU Capt Jim!
Love the crabs here! Hot, fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced every time. Al?s Seafood used to be my go to until last year when I got a terrible batch of crabs from them. Ever since then Capt Jim?s has been my new go to and will continue to be.
