Capital Cafe - Middletown

Paid $100 for a small flatbread pizza, Mac and cheese, and grilled cheese. All were not really good like school cafeteria food. I asked for the house red wine and she gave me two choices. Got the bill and saw it was $19.50 for a 6 oz pour of subpar wine!

Our flight was delayed so we dropped in for a bite to eat. Service was fine, the food was terrible. I honestly don't know how they can charge the prices for the food they are serving. There are better options for less money. Save yourself the heartache and settle for Subway, Dunkin, etc.

Service here is horrible. Waited 20 minutes and wasn’t even served before I got on my flight. Not sure how the food tastes since I never had a chance to order anything.

Traveling Christmas night- everyone is in the holiday spirit except the inappropriately rude bartender. My daughter approached the bar to order a soda because the vending machine wasn’t working. Nobody acknowledged her, so she walked out. A few minutes later she went back in, stood about 2-3 min and politely said “excuse me, can I order a drink?” Before she could finish the question which was “can I order a drink to go” the bartender rudely interrupts and says “you’re going to have to wait…” at which point my daughter is annoyed at her demeanor and replies, “ I’ve been waiting” the bartender then very inappropriately snaps back- “well, you can keep waiting 10 more minutes”… I will NEVER give my business to a place that hires such trashy people who lack class. It’s Christmas, traveling with a 2 year old whose father is not with us on Christmas because he is a US Marine and currently deployed and the bartender’s attitude was disgusting and humiliating to be so confrontational and loud in front of other guests! For no reason! I hope management reviews the transaction from Dec 25 about 9pm. I would lick the bottom of my shoe before I step foot in that place again. Clearly the staff needs training on how to be respectful and inviting and not act like a hostile degenerate. Waiting at an airport with a delayed flight and a toddler is challenging enough, don’t need to deal with blatant disrespect. I gave it one star for the location, haha. Read the reviews- horrible experience. Bet the food is even worse for the price. I am proud of my daughter for not reacting as much as she may have wanted to. Treating my adult daughter like that struck a nerve. First negative review I’ve ever written and I’m 48! The world is in chaos, we all need to be a bit more loving and kind.

This is a NOT TO MISS spot at the Harrisburg international airport! Enchanting ambiance and even better service. Come to the car for a refreshing beverage, grab a table for delicious American eats. The company was amazing (came with sister) would highly recommend!
