"We absolutely love Crooked Hammock and have gone to both Delaware locations multiple times over the past few years to celebrate special occasions. Middletown is the location we've visited most often as it is closest to us, only 1hr 15min from us in Bel Air, MD.We've had a great time every time we've been there, the food and beers are always fantastic, but this past visit was the best we've ever had. Alex was our server, and there is no exaggeration when I say that he was one of the best waitstaff that we have ever had (not just at Crooked Hammock, but anywhere). He was friendly, accommodating, and patient (especially when we had a 3 year old and 1 year old at our table). Any question we had he was able to answer flawlessly and was still able to ensure that the other tables he was working were given the same care we were. He was absolutely phenomenal, and we would love to have him each and every time we visit.Would 100% recommend to anyone and everyone considering going here."

"I went to this facility on 03/24/2022. Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly hostess, who sits me and my sister. They were so polite and helpful. The waitress was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and helped me make a great dinner choice. As soon as the food arrived, it was hot and the aroma of the food welcomed us immediately before it even tasted something. The feeling of the mouthwater at the anticipation of a delicious meal definitely happened. I enjoyed the Hush puppies, very tasty. It was not dry inside and needed no water for help. The fried green tomatoes were also degradable. Had no muddy center, it was solid and tasteful. Lastly our most important entrées consisted of the waiter recommended Lobster and Shrimp Mac And Cheese! Absolutely super! 10/10! Flavor was great, lobster was tender and in every bite I took. My sister enjoyed the chicken and waffles, which was the perfect combination of sweet and hearty. White chicken breast over a homemade waffle with candied bacon, cooked for perfection. I ask everyone to take the opportunity to review them."

"So, reservations at 8:30 not too late as closing time was 11:00pm. Ordered some beer and nachos to enjoy while selecting dinner options. Tried to submit our order but the entrees disappeared from the app. After finally getting our waitress attention (approx.10 min) she informed us “the manger turned off the food options “. The manger came over and said “sorry, we’re a brewery so really don’t even need to sell food “. His words exactly. He continued and told us the kitchen closed at 9PM (30 minutes after we were seated) and they close at 10pm (an hour earlier than posted).Our take away. Beer was okay but their kitchen is an afterthought. As the manger literally said as much. If you’re gonna do your business completely online, make sure the info is correct. Let alone posted anywhere or simply stated by the waitress. We could have ordered before the kitchen closed if we’d known. Won’t go back. Not because of the miscommunication but the “we don’t need your business” response from the staff. Plenty of other bars to drop our cash."

"The food was freezing cold. the steak was so tough it was hard to chew. the ribs were so spicy they burned your tongue. they must have a new cook or something the coleslaw was absolutely disgusting. it tasted like it was watered down."
