"Deplorable! Here is one who doesn't need money!We arrive at 3 people by bike at 14h40 with the hope of finally drinking a quick shot. We didn't want to eat, just drink a drink, a coca a biere, even standing at the counter.So that there are still ten people on the terrace, even before I asked anything, they say no, no, I close, I'm not open the afternoon! "On the way to the Périgord from the Paris region on November 11, 2022, we decided to take a lunch break in Argenton on Creuse where we arrived at the right time for lunch. Since the disappearance of the classic version of the Guide Michelin we have adopted other guides such as the Logis de France where I discovered the hotel restaurant Le Prieuré. While browsing their website I discovered their menu quite attractive and very well placed in prices. A call to book and here we are. A menu served including particularly competitive public cheeks (26,50€ entry and flat, 33,50€ with dessert), with a few reasonable supplements for some entries or dishes. Everything is consistent with the map description, tasteful and well served entries, as well as dishes. Smoked saumon home, 12 snails, homemade terrine, St. James' walnuts... and in dishes, the cried of the day, the civet of hare with chestnuts, bavette of cooked aloyau as requested, etc... dessert especially a very successful burnt cream. Very sober because by car, we have chosen wines with glass prices for friends (4,50€ per glass) . In short a faultless welcome and friendly and effective service since the meal took place in an hour. All for less than €200 for five people with 3 glasses of wine and five coffees. An address like I love them, without pretention, without cinema, but of high quality. Thank you and see you soon."

"I've eaten here many times over the years and it's always consistently good. From the outside it looks unpromising. Inside, however, the décor is pleasant and in hot weather it's air-conditioned. The signature dishes are the raviole de chevre, quenelles de brochet (pike quenelles in an excellent sauce) and the coupe de cygne dessert (if you don't like this you don't like desserts). There are several menus (or a la carte) to satisfy discerning customers. There's a good wine selection to go with the high quality cuisine. If you're in or near le Blanc, you must try this restaurant."

"We called in here for food on Saturday lunch times on two consecutive having booked on both occasions. The service was good, but be careful if you ask for a bit of extra time or you might be ignored for 15 mins. The pizzas are really well cooked, no stuffed crust or massively thick bases. The bases are thin and you can taste the filling. Their salads are immense so be careful. Desserts are either very simple boules of ice cream or elaborate creations with cream etc. Value is good but don't expect speedy service."
