stay home. went recently had a less than satisfying experience. I have a bad test. decided to give them another chance just because my favorite local spot closed. was a better experience. was not worth posting a good review, yet good enough to remove my previous review. once again have an experience similar to the first time, so I leave a star review. that's the only bad evaluation I gave a cash. I wish I couldn't give any stars at all.... Bartender is very rude....
Good food but absolutely terrible service. We didn't receive a receipt for over half an hour as the waitresses forgot about my party and I. Do not eat at the tables but instead at the bars you will be forgotten about. Frustrating service overall
Love there lamb chops and cauliflower mashed ... soo goodFood: 5/5
Horrible bartenders waitresses. Went in for an order gave name and they said it’s not ready yet. Ok so i’m waiting still for a while and ask the lady then she goes in kitchen and in one second brings it out. Lazy and never went to check for me. Stay away
Does anybody still use Groupon? Maybe I feel like I forgot about it for a while, but they do have some great little deals on there which can give ya a little extra bang for your dining buck while also helping to find a place you quite possibly might not have ever visited, such as Recipe Seven Cocktails and Kitchen. My wife and I visited this Miller Place spot a little more than a week ago with tasty results.Well, lemme save the tastes until the end as that was the borderline five star portion of the review. Everything else about Recipe Seven was...fine. I mean the interior was nothing special and resembled some kind of attempt at a nice-looking dive bar, if that's a thing (multiple pool tables are found to your right when you walk in . And the place felt like it had a bit of a locals crowd which threw off my wife and I at first as we seemed to be getting a bit of a stare down when we entered. I'll say the staff was pretty friendly and checked in on us a few times along with our food coming out quickly so that was a plus. Moving back into food, the menu wasn't entirely large with pricing in the so-so range, but it did list several tasty-sounding options. We chose to start with chili nachos and then my wife had their steak sandwich while I went with a burger.Going fully back into the food aspect, wow were these portions massive! The plate of nachos were huge and really slathered with chili and all the nacho toppings you know and love. Even better, they were delicious! The chili was meaty and juicy with plenty of cheese mixed in. Plus the chips stayed relatively crunchy despite all the heat and gooey-ness. My wife and I both loved her steak sandwich (crispy onions with mozzarella on a garlic roll and my burger (frizzled onions, mozzarella, and spicy horseradish sauce . We also chose to do a slight up charge and change our side dishes to garlic parm fries and onion rings which were generous portions for both (I was surprised how many o-rings I received! .Overall, Recipe Seven Cocktails and Kitchen is an interesting food establishment in that it has a lot of no frills pieces that make the place seem like a three star spot, but the food and portions are a level five and really knocks this review up to a four star average. I'd give it a tossup whether or not I would return in the future, but if you throw a Groupon in there? Then I'll take it under tasty advisement.
