beautiful fishing and not too deep so that a floating line is all that is necessary, the wind at this fishing plays a big roll, since the fish here tend to follow it and schoal up, makes for a better day, if there is not much wind or blow it in different directions, as then everyone has a chance, otherwise a rod can sack while the rest can fight or empty. Have a birthday party for a friend. dine and drinks served in the free air as a sunny day. beautiful cake and ice, good cup tee. could have done with a few lid cans to wrap the paper cups and wraps around. beautiful location
Great days fishing. Loads of fish moving and caught 3 fish over 5lb. Managed 15 in total after 3 hours of fishing. Great lake!
Very pleasant and clean slight traffic noise from the m 6 tea room closed at the moment but again looks good from the outside great view of the fishing lake from the pitch
A serene oasis featuring great food and lovely people in an increasingly chaotic world! They have a nice selection of healthy plants in the nursery. The seating areas are spacious and dog-friendly. Enjoy pleasant walks (just be mindful of the wildlife). This is a family-run business. The marquee shown in the photo served as the dining area during the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing the owners to weather the storm. Open until October!
The fishing here is beautiful and not too deep, so you only need a floating line. The wind plays a significant role in the fishing experience, as the fish tend to follow it and gather in schools, which makes for a more successful day. If there isn't much wind or if it blows in different directions, everyone has a fair chance. Otherwise, one person's rod might be too productive while the rest struggle or go home empty-handed.
