Loved this place and I would have never known where it was so thank goodness for the line of people! Cute underground location, live music, decent food, great drinks and very friendly staff! I would definitely go again. If you have reservations don?t standin the long line, go to the door, knock and let them know you have reservations. View all feedback.
What Ben Ch doesn't like about Volstead's Emporium:
This used to be one of my favorite spots but it's gone downhill. I had reservation for 7pm and was seated at that time. A server didn't take a drink order until after 7:15 and we didn't even get the drinks until 7:40 (and apparently they were out ofone of the cocktails). The normal full menu is gone so we got hummus (dips) and didn't even get that until 7:50 pm. Hopefullytheir service and food get to where it used to... View all feedback.
A very fun speakeasy with lovely cocktails and a nice food menu. We really enjoyed the Prohibition-era vibe. I had pork posole which was the special that night, and it was quite good. Also loved the flourless chocolate torte. Our server wasn't super-engaged, but we'd still go back.Parking: It can be difficult to find street parking on the residential side streets.
Love the vibe of this speakeasy. Great selection of cocktails. Haven’t tried their food, so can’t comment on it. Overall a 5/5 place to hangout with friends, date night , or just live music. I am so glad this place is still open after pandemic. Def a must try if you haven’t been.
Unique and fun!Cocktails ranged from $13-18, our table tried 5 different ones and can safely say there is something for everyone. We got the baked Goat Cheese Dip and it was absolutely delicious. The espresso martini is my favorite espresso martini i’ve ever had (pictured)Expect to spend $35-50 per person (2 drinks, and a split app)
I showed up at 11:30 on Friday night and it was probably less than half full. Bartenders were great. Live music was good. Kitchen closes at 10:00 PM so don't expect food. Cocktails average $15, beers $6
As a Speakeasy entry and atmosphere, it didn't disappoint. From start to finish, it was truly enjoyable. The music was different from what I expected, but leaving the place with a great feeling in my soul.
