I took away from here last night, was so excited about a delicious Satay chicken and special roasted rice had no Chinese intake for years! it was bland, tasteless and completely underwhelming! so terribly disappointed! Good food but caters more to westerners , such as being more sweet, more salty, more oily, boneless meat, doughy batters, etc. I was given advice years ago by a food critic from New York who told me when looking for the best dining experience, look for Chinese customers in Chinese restaurants, Italian customers in Italian restaurants, Greek customers in Greek restaurants, etc. Jade Village was busy when we ate there, but there were no Asian customers : Still the food, service and atmosphere were good. Really ordinary. Special fried rice was boring and had barely any flavour. Chicken was dry. Wontons were flat, tough and bland. Disappointed with the quality overall for the price. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
