My family and I stopped in here during a canal boat tour of the Grand Est. We were nervous given our lack of French speakers in the party, and the fact that this was very much rural France. We needed have worried though. What Krizto doesn't like about L'Escale:
We ate whilst doing a boat trip. The waitress did a good job translating the menu and was very sweet with our children. It is ashame that the meat of my main dish looked tasted a bit like charcoal and the burger from the kids menu was still raw inside. Starters and dessert were ok. View all feedback.

We stopped here for lunch. 12 euros for a very nice three course lunch. Salad starter, pork schnitzel and dessert. Great value. Will definitely come again.
