"My wife and I recieved a voucher for our wedding for here we were a bit reserved about going as a couple of people had told us that portion sizes were small....and you would eat again after it well we ate here last night and from the moment we went in we were made very welcome by who looked like the owner and a waiter who was very professional I everything he done to pouring wine and and putting down plates as for the food I got the scallops to start which were amazing cooked to perfection still a little translucent in the middle and I got the steak for mains also cooked to perfection with plenty of sides also with the steak was onion rings and a little what I can only describe as a mushroom pastry roll for desert I had mud cake which was unreal...... My wife had garlic mushrooms to start and she described them as gorgeous and just enough as the went from small to big mushrooms she also had the steak and for dessert the vanilla pod creme brulee which was lovely and I for one along with my wife cud not eat more after it it was a great dining experience and we will definitely be back"

"The day we visited for dinner they were short staffed so we were waiting quite a while for our food,had the roast beef dinner which I enjoyed the kids had a penne pasta dish which unfortunately they didn't enjoy but enjoyed the chicken gougons that we reordered for them,the staff that were on duty were very friendly and apologetic for the delays. Have heard good reports about the food from friends so will not let this experience put us off will definitely try Gertie's food again."
