Wednesday is steak night. $14.90 gets you a decent size steak, chips and the veg/salad bar. My steak was a little under cooked for my preference but still enjoyable and the gravy was delicious. The salads and veg bar is always fresh and has a good selection. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Clovercrest Hotel:
The hotel was recently upgraded and has ample room for large groups. The meals are average and the price is a tad too dear for what you get. The service is average. Overall nothing special. It would be good for a large group as the room is very spacious. View all feedback.
The venue is lovely, but the food can be hit or miss. I would not recommend ordering the steak as I have tried it twice now and both times it was served rare when I asked for medium rare. It was also very tough, indicating that it is likely low quality.
Another perfect house pie #3), and the chicken saltimbocca was tasty and generous. Jake’s welcoming manor is a breath of fresh air. Lisa’s seating suggestion made us so much more comfortable. Thank you. Deborah and David
Rennervated suburban Hotel, pub with a tasteful upgrade. Having first ate here back in 1980 some time ago, the transformation is great along with the food and wine list. No negativity but praise for all. front and back of house.
New fit out is nice, if painfully boring like every other white pub in Adelaide. Food on the other hand was completely uninspiring 'bland ' was the feedback from the whole table.
I was disappointed to discover that my meal was roast pork instead of the beef I had ordered, especially since I used to dine out regularly at the Clovey before the borders reopened. This was only our second visit since November. Rather than cause a scene, I decided to take the pork home for my cat and just eat my vegetables. When I requested a container, the staff member insisted that I had ordered roast pork, despite my insistence that I had ordered beef, as it was listed on the specials screen. On my way out, I noticed that the roast of the day was indeed beef, not pork as the staff member had claimed. It's frustrating when a customer's concerns are dismissed so quickly without proper investigation. Deborah and David.
