This is just an average restaurant, but the food is very good. I took my mother for breakfast on her 97th birthday. I mentioned her birthday to the waiter. Surprise! A few minutes later he came with a plate of ice with a sparkling candle. He was accompanied by 3 waiters, and they all sang to Mama. It really did her day. Thank you. "Arrived to pick up our order on Friday and they did not have it ready. The man was very rude and claimed we never even placed the order. After a couple of minutes he actually found our order but instead of putting it down for Friday they put it down for Tuesday. Prior to that we had to even prove on our phone that we actually did call Highway bakery because he just would not believe us. So they wrote down the wrong date but refused to admit that they did. He said he would support his employee rather than the customer and said that we were not telling the truth. I am totally done with Highway bakery. We left there and went down to Pearson's who were wonderful and gave us just what we want it"

"This place is an unsung hero of Mokena. I have lived here 2 years and never thought to come here until tonight. My son gobbled up his shrimp and loved therice they serve with it. My scallops were perfectly cooked and the hush puppies were awesome! Service was great. Such a good experience. We will definitely be back to try more things"
