What User doesn't like about Restaurant Seilet Storseilet Bar:
we were a family who traveled together and got 2 rooms on separate etagens. a room was beautifully renovated with a beautiful and large double bed. the other room was old with a bed that could hardly fit two people. it is the smallest “double” bed I ever got in a hotel in norway. the room was terrible, but the breakfast was really good. We stayed at this hotel and we noticed that the hotel restaurant was one of the nicest restaurants we went to in Molde. So why leave when you have everything at home? The cook made a special vegetarian dish for us at lunch when we asked for something else other than on the menu. It was very delicious and we were so happy for the service. We were the only guests that day so maybe he had extra time. Anyway he made our day! Thank you very much for making our stay so memorable and pleasant.
The Storseilet Bar might be a bar or a pub, but when I was there it was more like a disco nightclub. The Molde FC had their kickoff this night, and that might explain the party people. For me the stay at Seilet was a transit stay over and I was looking for a quiet bar to have a beer.
The resturaunt is awesome for breakfast. Can't be beat. A truly Scandinavian smorgasbord, complete with incredible dairy products, amazing bread selection, wonderful meats cheese, waffles to make, and incredible homemade, warm liverpostej! There are even wax paper sacks if you need to take a sandwich to go. How ever the dinner menu is small and rather expensive. It's ok in a pinch, the fish soup is really great. But I'd rather forage at a local market in the evening and gorge myself at breakfast!
I normally don't like hotel bars, however this is an exception. Relaxed atmosphere, decent beers, fantastic views. The bar also sports a balcony if you want to get even closer to the magnificent scenery!
We tried the evening buffet at a cost of NOK325 for three self served courses. There was a wide range of choice and the quality was good. Recommended.
