I’m deducting a star because I received a very small bag of chips with my queso fundido con chorizo (which is fantastic, by the way). I just wish there were more chips offered, especially since I ordered a dip. The standard complimentary amount didn't feel adequate for my order. View all feedback.
What Danielle Muncie doesn't like about El Vaquero:
Every single time I get carry out from here the order is WRONG. And not just a simple wrong you can deal with but completely wrong. Tonight I ordered a CARNITA burrito, NO BEANS. The food was excellent, and the service was exceptional! We came in with a group of more than 30 people, and they managed everything perfectly!
Although my chimichanga wasn't fried as I had requested, it was still quite delicious. However, I do wish that chips had been included with the dip trio, as the standard side of chips and salsa didn't suffice. I would have gladly ordered extra chips if they had been offered on the menu, especially since I’ll need to buy chips from the store anyway. On the bright side, the dips were served in generous portions—probably about a cup each—and I received two chimichangas. For a reasonable price, I will likely get two, if not three, meals out of it. Despite these minor issues, I would definitely order from here again.

The service was excellent! I ordered the fajitas with pork, and while the flavors of the pork and vegetables were quite good, I did find the pork to be a little dry. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Recommended dishes: Carnitas
