"Explored this precious little town on a beautiful day in late November when it was quiet and Undisturbed. Very few places open due to off season and COVID. Take your breath away gorgeous view overlooking an agriculturally based valley. Tiny place with a welcoming vibe. Food was prepared local style and included pork cheek and a hearty stew with hearty bread. Despite lots of negative reviews it was, for us, a great experience in one of my fave places in Portugal."

"Pizzeria Jona offers a huge range of tasty pizzas for six euros. There are vegetarian options and cold beer is also sold. The staff are friendly and the menus are in English and Portuguese. If you order the sicilian salad, request it with no mayonnaise as otherwise it is drowned. Who knew mayo was a sicilian thing?"
