"This is one of the most unique restaurants on PEI. It's unique for a number of reasons. Almost of the food comes directly from the owner/operators farm (can't get fresher than that) , the food is freshly prepared with a very strong Irish influence it's Irish food. The setting of this restaurant is like my Irish grandmother's kitchen homie and magical. But more than the food, the preparation, the setting is the owner (Caroline I think is her name) This Irish dynamo is the greatest feature of Home Plate! She is the chief cook and bottle washer of Home Plate. She is fisty, engaging, enthusiastic, and charming. We had just an absolutely wonderful experience dinning at Home Plate, it is as the name suggest like being in your mother's kitchen enjoying a meal only your mother could make and eating from your Home Plate! "Lovely little spot on the wharf of Murray harbour, wife and I had lunch here during our light house tour and were extremely satisfied! My wife had the seafood chowder and absolutely loved it. I had the more traditional hot chicken sandwich. Everything was home cooked and you could tell the people working loved their little restaurant. Quaint and enjoyable for a lunch or quiet dinner. Lots of seating outside as well as a variety inside as well. The restaurant sits right next to the harbour and is worth having a stroll down before or after"

"Great little restaurant in the Georgetown Inn. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we returned the next day for a second dinner. There is a daily special that is really good value and on Friday 's it 's a steak dinner for $15. Our group really enjoyed the artichoke dip, seafood tagliatelle, lobster mac 'n cheese, fisherman 's pie, lobster roll and fish 'n chips. Great service! WIsh we had a restaurant like this back home!"

"We purchased the Winterval package and had a great time! They had so many activities for the kids and my son loved the indoor pool. The rooms could use a little updating but we enjoyed the food at the restaurant and the staff were friendly. Rooms: 3 Service: 5 Location: 4"
