"We spent a month in Florence and Montalcino was a beautiful two day excursion. While the Brunello properties we visited were outstanding, re di Macchia was the highlight of our visit. The service was outstanding and the menu was so good and varied it was hard to choose each course. Surely it was everything Tuscany can offer. Reluctantly we had to choose and every choice we made was perfectly prepared and delicious. Don’t miss this gem. We wish our trip had been longer offering another opportunity to dine here….next time!!!"

"Early in my planning this was one of my main choices to eat while in the Pienza area and so glad we were able to eat here. Usually it is packed and just by chance we got in on a slow night! Absolutely the best meal on our trip from the food to just the overall homey feel especially the hospitality from the owner! If you are in the Pienza area even for one night make this your go-to choice but make reservations in advance! Everything we had throughout the night you could tell was made fresh! Table wine was our choice and well worth it!"
