"As they say, if you are lucky enough to live in Provence, you are lucky enough! That said, coming here on regular visits is a close second. The Drôme Provençal, the utmost northern part of Provence is much less touristy than the southern parts and some would undoubtedly like to keep this best kept secret all to themselves. However, if you happen to be in the region, the Café du Centre in Montbrison sur Lez is a great place to relax after a long day of exploring this beautiful region on foot, by bike, or by car. You will enjoy a beautiful sunset on the terrace looking at the vineyards and lavender fields (best at end of June with a drink and play or watch people play petanque. Afterwards, you should stay for an inexpensive and simple, yet deliciously prepared meal by chef Guillaume who owns the place with his wife Charlotte. Guillaume spent time studying in Texas and he won’t mind it at all if you call him Bill. If you are lucky enough (or just passing through… , Esther will be there at the Pizza oven."
