"We had a cozy, tasty and very inexpensive meal. We started with an aperitif or two, a buffet salad and cold meat, then a main meal of a choice of about 5, I had Steak Hache with frits, followed by an extensive cheese board and then a selection of delicious puddings. Loved every course, enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff was friendly and helpful. They welcomed the children who also enjoyed their meals, especially the puddings!"

"We spent an excellent stay at the castle of the city. It was a beautiful discovery with a pleasant and relaxing setting, a very beautiful spacious room decorated with taste, a dinner with a neat and succulent kitchen. We appreciated the professionalism, discretion and goodness of staff, including youth training. We will not fail to recommend this place that we will keep a very good memory."

"If you are in Essoyes I think this is the place to go and eat. The steaks look great and all the diners seemed pretty happy. We didn't eat but the champagne was lovely and the service was OK. I say OK as for us it was a little slow but you might just say relaxed and as this is the wonderful champagne countryside probably more in keeping. We are going back!"
