Stumbled onto this place with a friend from Scotland. We enjoyed the music, beer, and the vibe of the place. Service was excellent at the bar. The nachos were unbelievable. Loved the presentation! View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about Jack Saloon Old-Montreal:
This place is very nice for its ambiance and to go for a drink. However food is not very good...it is very basic. They serve burgers by themselves, you have to buy your side dish apart from it, so at the end it comes to 25 $ for just a basic burger and fries! The flavours and kind of food is very "USA style", not surprising because this restaurant concept comes from the US...For example, do not expect real crispy bac... View all feedback.

I've been a couple more times now and tried their burger, linguini and pizza. Everything is pretty good for a neighbourhood restaurant.

Chez Carl used to be a decent lunch placeHowever, my last visit was not positive.

"Everything was terrible, excluding the general tao chicken. The springrolls were decent as well, but the dipping sauce was putrid. It was extremely liquidy and tasted like sewage water (I am not kidding). I spit out my food 2 times, that's how bad this restaurant is. The chicken in most of the dishes was disgusting and had a terrible taste, definitely not fresh. The beef was chewy and inedible. The peanut butter dumplings had an odd taste as well. Everything eaten at this restaurant was just off. Never again will I step in there again, and I beg all of you to not go here. Save your money and go elsewhere."
