I've sampled most if not all of the surprisingly small amount of Carribean restaurants in Montreal and this one is undoubtedly the best. Fresh ingredients and breads all made on the spot. The Roti's are mouth-wateringly sumptuous, filled with meat, taters and their secret sauce. Looking for some heat on a frigid evening, we stepped into Jean's looking for some warmth. The host and owner, Val -- a Trinidadian -- was warm, gracious and a superb cook. She recommended trying a roti (chicken) and a chicken curry plate (rice and steamed vegetables in season), which we shared as a couple.
