What Tressa Greenholt likes about Pho Cali:
Reviews seem to be a bit mixed. This is a fast and cheap-eats place. Food was tasty and, as another reviewer said, not covered in oil or fried as seems to be the case in so many restaurants here. I ordered the large bowl of soup but would have been ok with the small one. My husband had one of the rice and meat dishes which was good. As I said - fast and cheap. No frills, so don't expect any. Of the several Vietnamese restaurants I tried in Chinatown, this was the best. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful, and in each dish I had they combined into a greater sum than the parts. Service is prompt. View all feedback.

read moreLocated in Chinatown, Pho Cali offers a mixed dining experience with some patrons praising the freshness and flavorful ingredients, while others criticize the cheap and pushy service. The restaurant is described as fast and cheap with tasty food that is not overly greasy. The pho is highlighted as a standout dish, with fast and friendly service, even during busy lunch hours. The cleanliness and ambiance of the restaurant are also noted positively. However, some customers have had negative experiences with mandatory tipping, feeling rushed during payment, and observing staff speaking ill of patrons in Vietnamese. Despite mixed reviews, Pho Cali remains a popular spot for those seeking Vietnamese cuisine in Chinatown.
