"The location, decor and atmosphere are all great. However the service was only just OK (mostly due to some clearly very inexperienced staff), and the Fondue à la fruitière was definitely not good at all. Like it was made by someone who had been told about fondue, but who had never actually eaten one. The cheese had separated out so there was a thick layer of fat on the top and the cheese itself was chewy and so stringy that it would have given the best mozzarella a run for its money. Also the white wine we ordered arrived tepid and when I pointed it out, instead of putting the bottle into a wine cooler, they just fetched another bottle of equally tepid wine To be fair, I can't comment on the other dishes as we only had the fondue but some of the dishes we saw being delivered to other tables looked very nice."

"I dont right reviews, but I heard this place is closing down, and I couldn't let it go without a final battle cry. I have been to this place several times and every time I find the food and ambience exactly I need after a day in the Alps. The last time I went was with a very close group of friends on our last night in Morzine. It was the perfect end to a great holiday; the food, as always, was incredible, and we felt welcome to stay right until close. It's a real shame that it might have been the last time I ever eat there, however I am blessed to be one of a few to have had the pleasure of experiencing it. It is better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all."
