We stopped by for lunch. The place was clean and the food was pretty good. Their wings were the best thing we ordered! Service was nice albeit a little slow.

"I used to love this place. I would come rent a room for the weekend to float the river or swing by during day trips for a after fishing meal. Everything from the food and service to the cleanliness used to be amazing. Not sure if the ownership has changed or what but my latest experience there was not great. Plain rude service and the food wasn't great. I'll be going elsewhere from now on."

"This is a fabulous place to stay! It is conveniently located for seeing so many of the sites on the Kenai peninsula. The location of the lodge is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are super friendly and helpful! The amenities are also top notch and the complimentary breakfast is the best I have ever had in all the places I have ever traveled! The cabins are very roomy and nicely stocked and the beds are super comfortable. I give Summit Lake Lodge my highest recommendation!"

"This place has a great location and our room was clean. However I didn't realize they were putting us in a small building across the street. Not a huge deal however the walls were thin and we had people partying on the deck till am. Also the fact that they don't open till am is not the most convenient since we had tours and wanted to get out and hike. We did make it back in time for a beer one night which they had a decent selection but we never got to try the food. But for the location and price I would probably stay here again."

"Trip of a lifetime! This is authentic, a real Alaskan adventure! The boat ride on Kenai lake is stunning with gorgeous blue water. But the mining experience was the gem; Please note, it's the real deal, it's gritty, it's tough, you'll get wet. You are not just panning for gold in a pretty stream. You are digging and working to find your treasure. John is an absolute character, he will ensure you have a great time and make you smile. The miners Steve and Mike were incredible. So knowledgeable and incredibly kind. Amazing experience, I would do it over and over! And yeah, I found gold!"
