What ShiftZZ doesn't like about Tandoori Mahal:
We were a party of 10 and were recommended this restaurant and with some trepidation we went. What a surprise, it’s not a bad restaurant, fairly modern and the staff were friendly enough, Now to the food. For £10, yes £10 you get a starter, a main, a veggie side dish, a Naan (of your choice) and a rice. All for £10.. Ok, what did it taste like? In a word, good. I had the Shami kebab, the salad as fresh and the kebab... View all feedback.
On a Saturday early evening, my group of seven, including two children, had a birthday meal at a restaurant where the taste card membership was not applicable. There was another couple dining when we arrived, and later on another couple joined. The interior was pleasant and had a good ambience. Unfortunately, the service was very poor and the food was served in a disorganized manner. Two men in track suits were hanging around the kitchen. After finishing our meal, only half of our table was cleared and we waited a long time for the bill while facing empty plates and crumbs on the table.
I planned to meet up with a friend at the Princess of India Indian restaurant in Morden, but unfortunately, we had to find another place to eat as it was already full and fully booked.
I am disappointed because I have been ordering from this restaurant for 12 years and they completely let me down today! When I called to place my order, they seemed confused and unaware of what I was asking for. They promised to call me back but the callback was pointless. It took a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes for my food to arrive, and they overcharged me £3.30 from the listed menu price. After 12 years of loyal patronage, I received no discount or apology. What a waste of money! I do not recommend ordering food from this place.
I have been ordering from this restaurant for 12 years, but today was a complete disaster! When I called to place my order, they seemed confused and even offered a callback, which was unhelpful. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes for my food to arrive, and they overcharged me by £3.30 on top of the menu price. The service was terrible and there was no discount offered, despite my loyalty over the years. Avoid ordering from this place at all costs!
I have been a customer of T Mahal for about 30 years. Unfortunately, I have noticed a decline in the quality of their food over the years. I ordered takeout on New Year's Eve and had to throw away most of the food because it was too salty. I decided to give them another chance a few weeks ago, but once again, the food was overly salty and the gravy was thickened with a heavy dose of sugar. I had to throw away most of it and will not be returning again.
