Always a reliable meal. Tuesday evening this time and a good crowd there. Lamb shank, butterflied chicken and strawberry cheesecake were all delicious.

"The latest incarnation of Blackstone is by far the best yet, and the quality of the food under their current chef is fantastic, and pretty much faultless.<br/ <br/ In fact, the food is so good, it highlights some other aspects of the dining experience which need improvement: the service could be a little more attentive (water should be brought to the table as a matter of course), and they should really have a few (local) beers on tap. The wine menu could also stand to be a bit more adventurous too.<br/ <br/ As it stands though, the food is easily as good as anything you'd get over the hill in Dunedin, and Blackstone is a fantastic asset for Mosgiel."

"Really really good! We live in Melbourne and eat a few curry’s. Black Pepper beats them all. Service was great too, we ordered takeaway through Google and there was no heat/spice option. On pick up we were asked if we wanted mild, which is not really how we like it. No problem, 3 minutes later they were cooked to our preference and amazing, seriously good!!"

"Decent food but quite expensive. Pizza can be customised to be made vegan (vegan mozzarella costs an extra $3) and there is a pasta option. The pasta option was very nice, fresh pasta with a tomato sauce, mushrooms, olives, artichokes, and spinach. Large portion sizes"
