After reading a number of negative reviews, I decided to bite the bullet and try this restaurant out for a family anniversary.

"Good service and the food was delicious and easily shared. We ate scallops, pork belly then duck, lamb and ocean trout, sides of fries and broccolini. Finished with desserts though very full. Enjoyed the Prosecco and a lovely Shiraz. Definitely recommend and will be back."

"Such a nice restaurant! love how the menu often changes, and all products are seasonal. that was delicious, secretly. in any case one has to try! just for why I'm given him a 4 instead of 5 because I'm a cocktail girl, and they just weep and be in the offer. could have done with some kisses on the outside seats."

"Good selection of options throughout the Asian range with vegetarian options that can be vegan, except the Burnt Butter Cauliflower. We sat outside, which is quite beautiful, allies of restaurants in Crows Nest are set up for it. The interior seats are available at some tables and some benches. Good food, we enjoyed the dishes, the Tamarind Curry had a very nice taste, creamy with a hint of sour. The mushrooms stir fry was also very nice. Spring rolls and dumplings were good. Well, that there is a vegan Gf option in the Entrees. Updated by previous review on 2022-01-17"

"Really nice cafe and bar with friendly staff and lots of dogs. The coffee wasn't bad although had a rather unusual flavour but the food really stood out. Fairly standard breakfast fare but with twists like lots of sambal and hash and my bowl had a whole potato and half an avocado."

"Came here for lunch and we were seated by the water. The view is amazing especially during summer however it was abit difficult finding parking since it was located on such a busy road. <br/ <br/ We had the signature dishes, they chose their most popular dishes over the years and I can certainly see why. I enjoyed the veal tartare and lamb dish the most! The pasta was a really strong burst of flavour if you really enjoy Parmesan!!"

""Mate, come to Mosman, we'll grab a feed at my local. You can get a steak for $10!!!". And with those words from my mate a loving bond was formed with this slightly pretentious looking pub in Mosman.

What makes this $10 steak deal even mightier is it's actually $9.90!!!!! $10 steaks aren't anything new, but you expect something small and uninspiring that leaves you wanting more. Hotel Mosman hands down have the best $10 steak deal in the North Shore, probably the entire city! For that delightful blue notes worth you're probably thinking a dodgy looking 150g - maybe 200g rump. Well, park your fears on Military Rd because you get a 300g Porterhouse, with chips or mash and sauce/gravy for no extra. I paired mine with chips and a pepper sauce. I was keen for a schooey but I had to drive so settled for a coke. I was envious of my mates Little Creatures Pale Ale which came on tap. My mate got the parmigiana a pretty standard choice for him.

We came at the back end of the dinner rush hour which was busy for a Monday public holiday, Despite this our meals didn't take long to arrive. Both meals looked bloody appetising, especially my $9.90 steak, which could easily have been mistaken for one over double the price. Taste wise it was brilliant. Cooked perfectly medium rare, excellent char on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. You can't beat a perfectly cooked bit of dead cow (I dont care that the vegans are repulsed!). The pepper gravy was nice, but I added more cracked pepper because some say I'm a psychopath with the amount of pepper I add to things. The chips were also on point. Steak fries, cooked perfectly and crunchy.

My mate enjoyed his parma but he was eyeing off my steak, and he would later confess that he wished he'd gotten the steak.

In all it was a great dinner. One thing that makes the Mosman Hotel's $9.90 steak deal just the best steak deal in this country, is it's not restricted to 1 night of the week, or for a limited time only. You can get it all day. Every day. Thats phenomonal value, excellent money and a drawcard for me to drive an hour each way just for lunch/dinner/random steak craving snack. The pub itself is pretty nice. Very trendy looking, modern and stylish you tend to forget you're in a pub (until you're in the TAB/Pokies) but it is Mosman, one shouldn't expect a working mans tradie pub. I had a very enjoyable meal, and I wont hesitate to come back. I'm sure the rest of their menu is quality, but you'd be hard pressed to find me going with anything other than their 300g Porterhouse special."
