"Good pitstop with excellent service and lots of seating. Nice variety of bites but food could be improved (eg. blue cod fish chips was bland and turkey piece was dry). Loved the cordon bleu so maybe you can try that!"

"Stayed here for one night and absolutely loved the food and the friendly, hard working family that have taken on running the place. Three generations of them, and their lovely black lab dog, make this not like anything you'll find in the city. Order early before they get busy, stick to the bottled beer or wine to accompany the delicious food and you'll be sweet"

"Very good location, almost halfway between Te Anau and Queenstown. Plenty of parking. A few animals for young children to see. Good service, clean and well maintained with seating inside and out. A really good menu, extensive including serving breakfast til 11am. Toasted sandwiches for €7. Shakes from €6.50."

"Really awesome food. The fried bluff oyster. Staffs are friendly. I might even say it’s the best fish and chip I had in NZ. They put a lot of salt though. Believe you can tell them to put lesser salt. But other then that. Solid F&C."

"Couple behind the counter are super friendly. Lots of effort and quality in their food! We had a cream donut and a pork and mushroom pie and both were bang bang They’re also trying to cut waste and using biodegradable coffee cups which is an awesome bonus"
