"Although we booked very last minute the help we got from Mimmo (one of the owners) was insane. He was so kind taking us on tour in the mountains, driving us to the waterfalls, picking us up in Reggio di Callabria (which is a one and a half hour drive) and so on and so on. We are so happy we stayed here and had a great time together. The meal we had in the restaurant was very nice, we even got a appetizer and dessert for free. Don't think Aspromonte is only good in summer, even in winter you can make incredible nice hikes and ski if you are lucky with the weather. In short, we loved this place and the people who helped us."

"Tonight I was a guest of this La Capanna restaurant with my friend Filippo. Four friends...we appreciated the table service, attentive Domenico. The food we tasted was of great quality, the chef 's cooked seafood appetizers were interesting, but the raw ones... true poetry . The Venere rice we tasted was fragrant, rich in shellfish and balanced in flavor, beautiful to look at...spectacular! Many thanks to Eugenio, the owner, who presented his dishes with professional skill... everything was excellent, the octopus with vegetables and tomatoes, a UNESCO goodness. The wine and bubbles list is accurate.. it was a lovely evening. Thanks a lot. Being a guest I didn 't understand the final bill... congratulations!"

"That dinner was really hit and miss... That review score is about the experience, quality/price-wise with the -30% reduction from The Fork it was OK. The staff was not able to keep up with the number of guests. We had to wait 45 min between antipasti and main course. We asked for a local wine, but we got wine from Rimini (good and cheap, but we wanted to experiment Calabria). The waitress was interrupted by incoming guests while bringing the bottle, brought it back 20 minutes later lukewarm to finish opening it. The second glass was better because they do bring buckets of ice on the tables. That is needed because that night was very hot and the small AC could not refresh the room (door to outside tables always open). AC was dripping on me from above. On to the plates. I had trio of tartare. It did not come spiced, it's doityourself with salt pepper and oil on the table. Maybe it's a way to focus on the fresh fish and avoid incompatibilities with the chef's taste, but it was not enough for the tasteless salmon. Marinated fish was delicious. Mix of grilled fishes was bad. I expected to have a bit of several fishes displayed at the center of the restaurant, but it was a whole one of them (bland), an overcooked slice of spada, big and bigger shrimps. The plate of semicooked tuna was delicious. 3.5/5"

"As a sports village it could be suitable but having not used any services I cannot judge. Table service could use a little more professionalism. Having made a mistake on 2 pizzas out of 8, having included 2 more beers, having made a 1 year old girl pay a cover charge who didn't consume or touch anything, the mozzarella in carrozza, paid for separately by Gran Fritto, had no flavor whatsoever. can only lead to poor judgment."
