We were here six months ago for coffee and cake, and decided to repeat the great experience. The name still seems to be ‘Oak and Iron’, but the old name seems to continue to be in favour on Tripadvisor. Easy parking and access, and great...choice of delicious cakes. Friendly table service, beautiful fresh flowers, satisfying tea and coffee. All good. Why wouldn’t we come again? View all feedback.
What Noah Dietrich doesn't like about Wallis Tavern:
Went here for lunch after going to an early movie showing. Was stood waiting to be seated for 5 minutes when the restaurant was practically empty. The staff seemed to be deliberately ignoring the fact that we were there. We were just about to leave when they came over to us. The service improved when we were seated. The food is average, nothing special, but OK for something to eat before or after a movie. View all feedback.
A top chicken schnitzel served quickly as we were in a rush Friendly staff happy to help out. Looking forward to visiting again.
My family and I had a great morning tea on our way to Monarto Safari Park. The service was excellent, so was the food. Beautiful views all around.

The current menu card may be expanded on site to include seasonal specialties and weekly recommendations. In addition to a variety of dishes, the card also offers a variety of beverages and typical house dishes. Additionally, the menu card also takes into account dishes and ingredients that have been commendably highlighted by guests, even if these have not yet been listed.
