What Marlene Treutel doesn't like about Mt Hawthorn Fish & Chips:
Chips were awful. We were served what the Brits calls scraps, not chips. Just crunchy little end bits of chips full of oil that looked like they had been scooped from the fryer while cleaning. Grilled fish was dry and overpriced as we were charged more for grilled fish than the batter option. We didn't order any herbs on the fish so why did it cost more? We saved you batter. Will not be returning, bunch of teenagers... View all feedback.
We have come to this place for over18 years and since the new owners have taken over, the prices have risen and the portion sizes have shrunk, come on guys, the 3 dollar sender of chips is a child size.
The slightly broken golden snapper is perfection, like the rest of our order dim sims and kartoffel skallops yum yum yum yum.
Service was good, very basic settings, but we took our meals in the garden space and we enjoyed the experience.
I was often in this chip shop and tonight I was so disappointed. I was informed that I could not only buy chips that I had to buy fish and chips. I am vegetarian and therefore do not want to buy fish and chips. I'm sorry, because I'm not going back.
I was sitting at a table with friends then this lad working there gave us free chips coz they had spare chips and they were closing up. Great service and prices
