Always love coming to the cafe! The best dutch apple pie. Great view of the lake. Stayed there a night during off-season and enjoyed the pool.Rooms: 4/5

"Probably more than 4.5 4.75 stars We fell in here and sceptical.... How good could Chinese food be in Mt Ida Arkansas, and a place that makes Chinese and Mexican? Yeah, right. Our scepticism was greatly illuminated by the ambience of the place, cheap furniture, old ceiling, not very impressively elevated. We didn't expect much.... Now we were very pleasantly surprised!!!! The Bamboo Palace had really good food both Chinese and Mexican!!!!! We started with the Tortilla chips and salsa that brought them to our table. The tortilla chips were very thin and crisp. The salsa was a coaster, though really bland. Then the egg rolls that Donna ordered with their Chinese meal. They were excellent!!!! Crispy, but not baked, fresh delicious vegetables inside. Among the best we ever had! Then they brought my Tamale.... Again only Outstanding!!!! Donna ordered General Tso's chicken. A huge part... very delicious! Fried to just about perfection, sauce not too sweet with a good (but overwhelming) amount of spicy heat to balance it. Accompanied by a huge part of fried rice. I ordered a chicken burrito. It was also Huge. Filled with freshly cooked white meat chicken and cheese and covered with a delicious white sauce. Accompanied with massive portions of fried beans and rice both very good and!!!! We could all eat only half of our meals and even then really full (overcrowded actually)!!!!! Very reasonable prices! So... Yes, you can get really good Chinese food in Mt Ida, and, you can get really good Mexican food in Mt Ida, and you can get it at the same place.... The bamboo palace!!! Definitely High Recommend!!!"

"I had breakfast when I was close to mt. ida. last week for lunch. the breakfast was not bad. that could have been better for the cost. the chicken roast steak was mainly crust, the baked kartoffel was ok, but could have used some cheese and speck. the salate was nothing special, but it was a bit expensive. the menu price was different from the price I had calculated. the midday price was $8.99, but I was reliant on $11.99, so I'm staying at breakfast from now on."

"I stopped here for lunch. There are many daily specialties and a complete menu. I had the chicken roasted steak flour. It was cooked for perfection and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I am happy to visit this restaurant again in the future. Thanks for a pleasant culinary experience!"

"The staff was unprofessional, their personal hygiene and appearance for the 3 ladies we met was terrible. Our food was cold. We ordered two appetizers. Fried mushrooms and onion rings, both cold. Fries was cold for every plate. Child atleast had warm nuggets. Fish had no taste, like the baked dough. Steak and cheese on a hoagie was cold, bread was hard like a rock. Long gray hair was in our kids-kid cup. The staff was uncertain how to change coke syrups in the machine, so soda was not an option. This visit would not recommend."
