Great food and nice peaceful surroundings. Service is excellent. Mount Isa is a small town so not many places to choose from. If you're looking for fine dining...

Each time we have been to the Burke Wills Restaurant, the food has been excellent and the service is also great. Prices reasonable and value for money.

"Good beer and decent pork ribs and grilled baramundi both with chips and salad. Tasty,, hot and efficiently served. Only problem was a waitress that knew absolutely nothing about the drinks despite trying to take an order. Luckily the barman sorted me out."

"Was looking for somewhere to have a feed n drink late lunch found this Buffs Club!!.. was greeted at entry by a very pleasant reception Lady, all smiles n class for me.. she helped n assisted us to find a feed and all the staff here were terrific.. so if in the Isa looking for nice special place don't hesitate to go there.. highly recommended by a seasoned traveller! "This has to be the yummiest bakery in the west. I love sampling pies in country towns and on this trip (from the Sunny Coast), we’ve tried quite a few. Grants Bakery pies are now top of the list. I had steak (real steak) and kidney, hubby had bacon n egg. Delicious! I also eyed off the incredibly mouthwatering cakes and pastries. My plan was to return tomorrow (Sunday) for morning tea but alas the bakery is closed on Sundays. Whilst eating our pies and drinking our coffee, we noticed a continuous stream of what appeared to be locals coming in for their treats (and bread). Highly recommend."

"Went for dinner...Drinks are a bit kn the expensive side, as is the food...although you know why the food is a little expensive when you pick it up...the portion size js absolutely massive! The steak I had was cooked perfectly and the vegetables and mash potatoes were cooked well and fresh! Pity I couldn't finish it all...but over all, 4 stars...I'd go there again!"

"Unfortunately the traditional take-away shops have been crushed and pushed out by the multi-nationals with their bland offerings. After quite a bit of seeking out, I finally found this business. It appears quite popular with the locals, however the tourists and those here for work may easily miss this place, located in a suburban strip shopping centre.The service is good and prompt and the food is quite good too. Very much in the mold of the old traditional fish and chip shop."
