Many gr8 memories at the Burger Chief from the 1980's onwards. They make gr8 burgers & l love their coffee.

Burger menu was impressive, until i saw the person taking our order, very much occa in appearance and behaviour, old shirt, no shoes and its certainly not a tou...

Burgers, just burgers but a great variety ranging in size from generous to ginormous and with all the trimmings. Specially sourced beef from Queensland's finest...

They are not the cheapest burgers you will have but my gosh are they big and tasty!There are 15 or so burgers to choose from that feature beef, chicken and vege...

"Good beer and decent pork ribs and grilled baramundi both with chips and salad. Tasty,, hot and efficiently served. Only problem was a waitress that knew absolutely nothing about the drinks despite trying to take an order. Luckily the barman sorted me out."

"Was looking for somewhere to have a feed n drink late lunch found this Buffs Club!!.. was greeted at entry by a very pleasant reception Lady, all smiles n class for me.. she helped n assisted us to find a feed and all the staff here were terrific.. so if in the Isa looking for nice special place don't hesitate to go there.. highly recommended by a seasoned traveller! "This has to be the yummiest bakery in the west. I love sampling pies in country towns and on this trip (from the Sunny Coast), we’ve tried quite a few. Grants Bakery pies are now top of the list. I had steak (real steak) and kidney, hubby had bacon n egg. Delicious! I also eyed off the incredibly mouthwatering cakes and pastries. My plan was to return tomorrow (Sunday) for morning tea but alas the bakery is closed on Sundays. Whilst eating our pies and drinking our coffee, we noticed a continuous stream of what appeared to be locals coming in for their treats (and bread). Highly recommend."

"Went for dinner...Drinks are a bit kn the expensive side, as is the food...although you know why the food is a little expensive when you pick it up...the portion size js absolutely massive! The steak I had was cooked perfectly and the vegetables and mash potatoes were cooked well and fresh! Pity I couldn't finish it all...but over all, 4 stars...I'd go there again!"

"I was baffled by the other gentleman's review and had to think if he was some sort of exceptional chef or the simple fact he just doesn't know food and didn't request or explain to the cafe and owners. I went and had a meal there and the burgers are phenomenal....everything is home made...even the mayonnaise...I know because I asked...and ingredients are fresh and delicious. For a small business operating in a rural community...the smoking gun is hands down fantastic with great service..and nothingin town comes close to comparing to their burgers (again I would know I lived there). So go and eat there!!! You won't be disappointed."
