This was literally outstanding. We had some snapper, whiting and calamari rings with a scoop of chips. All very reasonably priced, fresh and tasty. We walked back to the place we were staying and decided to eat whilst walking and the whole way back we raved about how this is how a fish and chips should be. Fast service but the food isn’t great. Not sure why there are so many high reviews... we got a fisherman’s basket and everything was over cooked, oily and super salty. This is the chips I could not eat. They taste like old oil. There was also more batter than meat in most things. I visited this restaurant 2 years ago and the fish and chips were great. However, it seems like the quality has decreased since then. The portions were large but lacked flavor. We ordered 2 pieces of snapper but received 5 pieces instead. Even the chips were bland. I was very disappointed.

We are travelling from Cairns and so far this place has the best prices for seafood. We had the flathead, calamari rings, breaded scallops and $2 chips. It was cooked fresh and was so tender and juicy and quick and friendly service. Well done to all the staff there that worked well as a team and the cheapest prices in the West we have found so far and the nicest seafood thank you for an awesome meal.
We choose a take-Away Snapper Chips and Hake Chips. The Fish was very fresh. Service was quick Very Easy Parking off-street.
