Great pub meal on a Saturday night with friends, one of whom is a local and wisely suggested we book ahead. Very busy when we arrived, but service was friendly and efficient. Seated outside, we all enjoyed our meals in a lovely atmosphere.The Tavern provides a free bus pickup foor locals which meant we could all have a glass of wine (or 2) and not worry about driving.Fantastic little hideaway! This has been our "local" since we moved here 16 years ago. It has had it's ups and downs in that time, but in the last couple of years it has been all down hill unfortunately. This establishment is unique in being the only tavern in Townsville where you can step from the back lawn directly onto the beach, and it has lovely views over the water and out to the islands, but it is badly let down by the food and the serv... The friendly waitresses and waiters of the establishment serve you at your table, and sport events will be aired on a screen / a TV. You can park your vehicle directly at the parking lot on the company premises.
