"We found R kitchen on a whim while we stayed in Charleston to evacuate Hurricane Irma. It was such a great experience! The concept is refreshing and fun and the food was incredible. It's an intimate yet relaxed feel. I loved that I could feel and taste the passion Chef Ross hadsfor R kitchen. Thanks for making an evacuation feel like a vacation!!"

"The service was impeccable — waitress was super friendly and attentive and the food came out so quickly. And the food is always delicious! Highly recommend the calamari, Caesar salad, and the chicken parm! One of my favorite places to get dinner inthe Charleston area."

"Finally got out to Nick's German Kitchen and oh man, it was just as amazing as I hoped it would be!! We tried the weekend special appetizers of barvarian bratwurst with bacon fried potatoes and creamy sauerkraut; and the pilzknodel which is a bread dumpling in a creamy mushroom sauce. Hubs had weekend special entree of schweinebraten which is pork roast, a bread dumpling, beer gravy and apple red cabbage. I ordered off the regular menu and got Jagerschnitzel which is a breaded pork cutlet with homemade spaetzle and creamy mushroom sauce. I?ve had Oma?s cooking and been to Germany the spaetzle is honestly some of the best I?ve ever had! It?s definitely pricey but it?s absolutely worth it. We sat outside and they provided warm comfy blankets which was so nice. We were too full to eat strudel so we got a slice of Black Forest cake to go it looks just as amazing as everything else tasted!"

"I love visiting a new city and checking out the best cocktail bar in town. In Charleston, that's Doar Brothers. And unlike most bougie cocktail spots, it also manages to stay comfortable and approachable at the same time. I had the Bourbon and Clyde, which was a delicious dessert cocktail, and another drink that is no longer on the menu and whose name I can't recall. Both were well balanced and delicious. I also had the bread pudding, which took a few minutes to come out but really hit the spot. I ended the night with a carajillo, which is a coffee drink that they make with Licor 43. It was a little sweet with a perfect shot of caffeine to perk me up before heading home. I'll be back at Doar Brothers whenever I'm in Charleston!"

"We stopped by here to get pizza on our way to Isle of Palms for vacation. We eat a lot of pizza and saw this one had good reviews and it did not disappoint. Was definitely worth the stop. Was very good Detroit style pizza. Would even give it 4.5 stars but yelp did not give me the option."

"I?ve been searching for good Thai food in Charleston for awhile and several people recommended Basil. Today I finally caved and agreed to pay 20+ bucks per entree to finally snag some great Thai food? Was not worth it. I?m not sure if they have just overexpanded with spots across South and North Carolina, but good cooking seems to have been lost along the way. The place isbeautiful, but the entrees were bland or were just bad. Fresh rolls were generic and small. Som tum was ok. The basil entry wasjust over cooked meat and my wife decided to leave the red curry and pick up something elsewhere. And man, they messed up therice? really?"
