Mangoville - Mt Vernon

The fried chicken, rice and peas is really good here. We had to wait until a fresh portion of chicken, but it was worth it. Customer service is typical Jamaican restaurant service. If you know, you know lol you have a variety of foods and always busy, but seem to get in and out.

This place was okay. I like to see black-owners shops in mostly black neighborhoods, so that's a plus. When entering, the aromas of all foods and what smells like chicken roasts turned my stomach. This is not necessarily her fault, it is a restaurant, but something about the presentation felt worn and how it could all use some refreshment. The staff was polite. I ordered curry chicken with white rice, vegetables and a fried dump. Overall it was tasty, but the residues of the oil it had been boiled a few times in overshawed the taste. Not sure I'm back, but I usually enjoy lunch for them.

I just came out of this place the service is terrible took 45 minutes to get a plate of food then the Spanish server was so rude it was despicable. I don?t like to give my people of color poor reviews but this one was well deserved. Soup in the container and the server telling you no soup, fried chicken on the shelf but the severs tells you no fried chicken. Then when I do order she just walks off and I?m trying to order something else with no regard. It?s clear this server dislikes her job so please get another one cause the food is good but the service is so bad it?s such a turn off.
