plain flavoured dishes, consumers won't feel burden when tasting their food. Asam fish (sour spicy taste) and otak are acceptable for those who can't take spiciness. View all feedback.
What John Davies doesn't like about Restoran Siang Lin:
Average place; easy to find. Hygiene is not on par, flies is everywhere maybe people here uses to the appearance of flies when ordering and eating. First time in Muar, but compare to a nearby MCA food court, this is realistically DIRTY. Assam Fish, is technically a steam fish pour with a Assam Sauce standby, those veteran of food would understand, the broth taste and the fish taste is not married, is a 2 things. Samb... Absolutely tasty peda fish, tongue fish, Sambal petai, otak-otak, curry fishhead! Try it if you're ever in the area.
Try Sotong Petai! Still among the best places to get Asam Fish. My personal favorite and highly recommended. Clean place and helpful waiters, but if it is peak hours, you must be patient.
Amazing food! Amazing!!! So delicious!!! I think it's a place where most locals visit, the fish was extremely fresh, just delicious! What else can I say?
Has dinner for 4, ordered Assam fish (red snapper), Sambal sotong, shrimp, Petai, stir fry kangkong and Omelet with onions. Sit down, go to the front counter to choose the fish and other foods. The menu listed in the Chinese character is displayed. Can she ask for advice if you are not sure what to order. Overall, the food was prepared quite quickly, the Assam fish is not sour compared to others. I like it pretty much while I'm usually not a fan of assam stuff. Not too sharp. Petai was quite little and this sotong shrimp dish was quite spicy and also a little expensive. Is a neighborhood shop, was full during dinner.
Veggie dishes were a bit too oily for me but the rest tasted amazing! I really love the chicken with rice balls and Assam fish. Would totally go back
