a group of Mexican friends has recommended the hotel and it has been absolutely rewarded. eating was great. we had the tortillas mixtas and the enchiladas de carne were both great. only manko for me is that there is the softdrinks (cola) only in the smallest bottle. View all feedback.
What Marilyne Upton doesn't like about El Patio:
the location is arranged between at least 2 other Mexican restaurants. jalapeno poppers as an appetizer were cooked and compared to other restaurants where we were before too small. main dishes (enchiladas verde) were ok boiled, but lacked flavor what the sharp sauces from the bottle could not replace. The bartender, originally from mexiko, was nice and delivered a solid service. the food was delicious. great place for a quick bite.
Yes, that and some chips are all I had, but the margarita was like water in the desert. münchen has large beer halls and German food, but there are, we will say, a wide and generous spectrum of ideas, like a margarita. tastes. that was great, just the best I had so far!
The chefs know what they do .great service. very nice drink selection. probably one of the best Mexican meals I've ever had. good energy/atmosphere, carefully decorated and price right. even dessert was delicious! they will not be disappointed!
Eating was terrible here, we ordered 4 tapas and 1 main dish. none of them was nice. beef was bad quality and hard, big disappointment! will not be redefined.
My friends would give El Patio five stars, but I'm from Southern California so for me it's worth of four stars … And four stars has me wanting to return. The margaritas were made with fresh lemon juice and not a mix – the bartender...just needed to add a lot more sugar . a nice cozy fun room that looks good for couple on a date and it was great for us four ladies celebrating a birthday . I had a bite of my friends beef fajitas and it was delicious nicely spiced and clearly marinated I was thrilled to see Mole on the menu and it was good. Coming from LA, I'm used to a bowl of warm tortillas and homemade salsa being put on the table the minute you sit down (for free), not so in Germany – you need to order and pay for this in any Mexican restaurant I've eaten at in Munich . At El Patio – there was no salsa (homemade or other) was offered, but the guacamole was fresh and good . I had given up on finding good Mexican food in Munich – having been served avocado purée/cream instead of guacamole, Chinese sweet-and-sour sauce instead of salsa etc So wrong The taquitos tasted fresh and yummy. The portions are good but more European than American Mexican restaurant in size , and that is enough food for most people . No refried beans of any sort were served with any of our meals but i did get rice with my meal and it was pretty good. So folks, if you come from Southern California, Texas , Arizona and the like, you will probably be disappointed, but if you've not had amazing Mexican food from places like that, you will probably love this place.
