New Chef is great. Good portion size for the main meals and value for money. The dessert portions are small when considering the price but that wouldn't put us off eating here again. Early October 2023 we were staying nearby. For a variety of reasons, (and not wishing to publicly bad mouth our nearby hotel restaurant, we decided to try this pub for an evening meal. The pub was heaving, shoulder to shoulder with locals. Great atmosphere. Ordered drinks and our meal. Within 20 mins our lovely hot and fresh supper was put before us by a cheerful barmaid. Beef spare ribs and fresh fish for me. Absolutely Delicious. Don’t hesitate to try this pub.

Great choice of menu and real ales at this central village pub. Certainly the hub of village...busy and good atmosphere. Recommended for meal anytime. I had rump steak meal....cooked to my liking. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value

The brie bites were good same with the fish linguini (special). To finish I had a Berry crumble and it was great. However, there could of been more custard but I asked for some and it was okay! Service: 5 Location: 5
