I really enjoyed my meal here. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, everyone working there was really friendly and helpful and the food was perfect at the end...

"Large lunch menu on Sunday and great desserts. When they ask me what the best pub life is in newport, I would always say grainne uaile. we had the lamb and hot steak baguette, but there are many other tantalizing options and a great variety for the size of the pubs. the lamb was tasty, crushed in gravy and sitting on the most creamy mae that I had in one. (the maic may have something too salty for my taste, but I can't say I didn't grind it down. some tellers are not often seen on pub grub menus, and I'm really curious to try them all. we ordered the chocolate nus sunflower and the apple pie to dessert. from all places on earth (that I have eaten naturally) this of the best apple pie I had. my wife says it's baked, but I felt it was more cake based crust. delicious. love the wise and wise to the pirate queen. the decor has some interesting photo points. I could have made some great photos of the layout, unfortunately I was here for eating. also it was not a good day and the light was bad. and simply sitting in a dark corner."
