What User likes about El Tomillo:
He ido varias veces. What User doesn't like about El Tomillo:
El restaurante está ubicado en El Salto, una localidad a unos 70 km de la Ciudad de Mendoza, y a 10 km de Potrerillos. El lugar es sencillo, rústico y muy familiar. La carta es suficiente en variedad. Si quiere compartir, hay un extra de $50 por plato. El personal es muy amable, pero un poco lento en la atención. Los platos son los típicos de la abuela, sabrosos y abundantes. Tal vez un poco caro para el servicio. El... View all feedback.
I have a little peckish while in potrerillos, so my beautiful guide beat this beautiful, small and local restaurant in el salto. When we arrived, I wasn't sure I wanted to stay. but if the duck, you live only once, and I loved this restaurant. the owners, man and woman could not be nicer, and although he does not speak English, she can speak for both. she was so welcoming and her eating is amazing. very shortly after my guide and I sat on the whole dining room filled with locals. I ordered steak in plumen sauce and I enjoyed every bite.
Delicious eating and excellent service in a warm, cozy environment fills my el tomillo experience quite together.
Hidden gem in this magnificent opposite! do not miss their chicken surmas napolitanas and pasta! great place for families and friends, excellent worth
We ate at El Tomillo Restaurant "Thyme in English) in El Salto to meet with the owner of a home we were renting for three days. El Salto is a tree lined village in the foothills 7 kilometers from Potrerillos. It is a refuge from...the oppressive summer heat in the city of Mendoza, an hour or so from El Salto. The roads are well marked with signs giving the directions to El Tomillo. El Tomillo has a low key, relaxed atmosphere; two young children were playing on the table next to us; a few adults were hanging out post lunch, enjoying their conversation. Barbara, from Buenos Aires, served us and is an owner. She was very helpful and advised our rental home owner we were in her restaurant. We were unable to stay with her, our first choice, as both her restaurant and cabins were closed over the Christmas holiday. All of the food was tasty; we brought some bruschetta as a take out order. When we return to El Salto, we will definitely eat at El Tomillo again. Thanks!
We have been in Mendoza for a month and the last few days have been rainy. We hopped in the car with no real idea where we would end up and we ended up at El Tomillo in Le Salto. Off the beaten track and...very unassuming, the hospitality was exceptional and the food terrific. Patricia guided us through the menu and helped us with our choices. We could not have had a warmer welcome had we been family. We definitely recommend this restaurant and we hope to have a chance to return. Karen and Jan, Toronto, Canada
