The whole family enjoyed our dinner. The catfish was excellent and we also loved her tarter sauce (not sure what's different, but it's great). Our server went beyond and beyond. Overall it was a great experience. Sidenote, if you want the senior military discount, bring it up when you order. You do not give the discount if you pay! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Uncle Bud's Catfish, Chicken Such:
Was looking forward to going back since they reopened. The fish fillets were very small and thin. One was overcooked. Hush puppies were very very good. Beans were okay. Service was pretty good but I had to ask 3 times for the same thing. Very very distracting and noisy. They had at least six birthdays with a lot of singing while I was there just eating one meal. Many parking places, short waiting time, even if they are busy, super friendly staff, land atmosphere, tons and tons of food. I'm always coming. Always well cooked and perfectly seasoned. Only well cooked and well served local dishes. A great place to take the family.
Very good service. I like to bring out all sides and hush puppies immediately. The fried catfish was amazing with hot sauce and was very full. The fried chicken was also delicious!
We went to a Sunday for $7.99 all you can eat chicken. Very good, but needs a more seasoned option. Service was not excellent. She forgot to refill tea. Chicken Fixines were also a nice addition and also refilled on request pickles Cole slaw beans hush puppies
It’s been really crowded the times we’ve been, but you can use yelp to get in line before you get there. No idea how to initially register in yelp to get on the list, but I was able to use a previous waiting list to sign up this time. We were there about ten minutes after our required check in before getting seated; they were telling people an hour to an hour and fifteen minute wait. Worth using technology. You get beans, cole slaw, hush puppies, pickles, and onions right when you sit down. All of it is good, the slaw is a little sweet and a little tangy. Most of the menu is fried. The chicken fried steak is all right, the chicken tenders are really good. The fries are really thick, which I usually hate, but these are great. You also get more fries just for asking. I had the “everything” platter the first time (oysters, clams, catfish,... . It’s a lot, remember how much of the free sides you’re going to eat. The atmosphere is really fish fry at the camp house, and there are tons of families with kids. Not super noisy, but busy. I think a table in the middle of the restaurant might be loud. Servers are great, fast food and service. You do pay on the way out, so you do a lot of lining up. They could do a lot better at making it clear who’s standing where for what function. I have seen a bunch of people wanting to check in wait in the pay line and a lot of people looking to pay wait behind people who are just hanging out for a table. Overall a good experience, pretty tasty food (I’ve liked the free sides the best, they’re definitely not an afterthought , and you leave stuffed.
