"I’ve been to a lot of barbecue restaurants around the country, and I am a native of Muskegon, now living in Southeast Michigan. While visiting family in town, I decided to treat my party of eight to lunch. As far as the food goes, I enjoyed that part, and I thought everything on my plate was flavorful. The lunchtime service was absolutely sub-par. The waitress never came back around to ask us if we would like refills on our lemonades. She never offered us water (dry rubs contain salt, right? and for quite some time, never checked on us to see if we might need anything… I had to ask someone else if they could bring a pitcher to our table. My niece requested a side of mayo for her pulled pork sandwich — it never came, she was completely ignored. Management: you should know that you missed out on sales of alcohol, because I was looking to order a Michigan IPA, but again the waitress never took the time to speak with me about that. I understand that yesterday was Independence Day and the store was busy. On that note, I watched our waitress walk around and apologize for delayed service to every other table around but ours. She was so kind to everyone else. I was never told sorry for the wait. Her actions seem to suggest that my party was not as important as any other party at the place."
