First skiing holiday for my family and I, and Myrkdalen was perfect. Stayed here over Xmas week and it was mostly v. quiet with beautiful weather. Hotel is clean, comfy and modern. Food is decent (lots of it! and staff v. pleasant. Ski slopes were perfect and the instructors at the local ski school were excellent and super friendly. I'd definitely come back for more skiing. Very nice place! Best I have seen in Norway so far. Only minus was that it had been snowing all night and all slopes where covered in 25cm loose snow. Not a big...

I would love to rate this higher but the price of a lift pass stops me, 485 nok for a day (6 hours) is too much, especially when you bring the family.

"Pretty good. Our guide was very beautiful and well versed in Viking/norsemen lore. The village was quite large and after approx. 30 minutes tour you could go around the village and make various things with the inhabitants. It also has a very good gift shop."

"Higher located skiing resort. The resort is cca 1000m above the sea level and so has good snow conditions from Dec-May. it is approx 2 hours drive from Bergen. Restaurants are closed a bit earlier than ski lifts!"

"Room was nice and tidy, but no tw in the room. it seems as if the walls were thin, because when the other guests woke up around 6-7, they could clearly hear it. the room was dog friendly, which was a plus. nice and friendly staff who also works there"

"I 'm sure this is a great resort during the ski season, but as it 's summer it is not up to par. We booked a 2 bedroom suite (since we had two couples) which turned out to be a 3 bedroom apartment. Two bedrooms only contained bunkbeds and the third bedroom had a double bed that requires entrance from two doors to get to each side of the bed. You had to bring your linens to the lobby upon checkout. It was a fine stay for one night, but can 't imagine more."
