Cafe food, super good. Don't fret if it's busy, it is worth the wait. I look forward to a return visit. Prices are fair. Feels like a place in Charlotte that I enjoyed visiting. View all feedback.
What Guadalupe Wisoky doesn't like about Black Iron Cafe:
I was pretty upset because I simply asked for a spoon and even though I was a previous customer and bought some of their overpriced sandwiches, the cashier rudely didn’t give me one and told me I had to pay $0.25. And when I offered to pay, she told me that I needed to spend $2 to use a credit card. I refuse to go there after the rude service I received. I had my first trip to Black Iron Cafe inside the library after this quarantine ended. It was my husband's and my anniversary and we thought we'd enjoy a treat. I ordered a frappe. The girl behind the counter last Thursday must be new. I waited over 10mins for my drink. When I finally recieved it it wasn't a frappe consistency. It was melted down already to a watery consistency. I paid over $6 for this drink and was severely disappointed. This girl needs to not be by herself. She was struggling with a handful of customers. Please bring back the original staff and not only one person. I've been going here for years off and on, and this was my first total disappointment. That poor girl needs more training or a work buddy!

Truly unprofessional service. We waited to be welcomed and taken our order. While the waitress/cashier took our order she stopped mid-order to greet and talk to her friend behind us. Then came back to us and forgot our order. When she took my credit card she cussed and turned around to talk to her co-worker. She left to make our coffee and forgot what flavor of coffee we ordered. Mind you the coffee took 5 minutes to be given to us. Worst coffee shop experience I've had and will definitely not recommend this location to anyone.
