"I stayed at the Hog Hotel with my 2 children, aged 12 and 9, and our 1 year old cockapoo. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Our room was presented to a very high standard. I have no problem recommending this Hotel."

"Found this marvellous chippy the other day at 3pm, when all the other ones in the area were shut. The portions are massive, the quality is excellent with friendly staff. They do scraps here too, I asked for these at another chippy in the area which I won't name and just got stared at. Also I was told at another chippy, which had closed just before I got there that day, that there wasn't anywhere else open. I intend to use this chippy exclusively from now on, you have free parking for half an hour right outside so why go anywhere else?? Great service, great portions and open all day. Why go anywhere else??"

"Good service and nice ambience. We had two of the crab for our main dish which we found watery and tasteless, disappointing. I suspect it had been frozen. The whole meal was very bland and tasteless. Our friend had the sea bass which she enjoyed better."

"Had a good lunch today. squid and garnel appetizers with a black bauch main course were well cooked and delicious. the pensioner two courses for a tenner was very valuable. friendly, efficient service with a smile, recommended. in the middle of the world"

"Very poor service. I hadn’t visited this cafe before and wanted to try it. Ordered our food (sausage and egg breakfast bap) and waited patiently for 30 mins. We were a handful of the people in the cafe so I asked at the counter if it was on its way. The response I got was “it got lost”. 10 mins later the food arrived. After waiting 40 mins for this I was disappointed when the waitress came over for payment and overcharged for food we didn’t have. No apology or customer service. Wouldn’t recommend here try some of the other cafes in Southwold (better value and better service)"
